WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Media Developer for the Multimedia team, you will work within the Innovative Learning Sciences department of Ascend Learning, creating multimedia products for the entire company, with a focus on the Healthcare brands such as ATI and NHA. The team has diverse skills for media production including all aspects of audio and video staging, recording, editing, and publishing services as well as illustration and 2-D animation.
You will create, edit, and organize media assets with direction from the department manager and senior media developers as well as interaction with the department director. The role frequently collaborates with assessment specialists, design associates, project managers, internal and external content experts, and external audio and video production companies.
WHERE YOU’LL WORK
This position offers the flexibility of remote work within the United States.
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME
- Edit video and audio projects. Perform additional edits and revisions as necessary.
- Manipulate motion and still graphics.
- Conduct remote recording sessions.
- Assist with organizing the pre-production process and perform pre-production tasks including broadcast writing/editing and storyboarding.
- Assist with the setup, lighting, filming, and audio of video shoots.
- Assist media manager with prop, wardrobe, casting tasks for film shoots as needed.
- Review finished assets and document the processes of the project including media asset approvals and digital asset management.
- Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external resources including content experts, talent, and vendors.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree required. Emphasis in Film Production, Mass Communications, or Journalism preferred.
- Two years of multimedia experience required.
- Proficient in video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Proficient in editing audio.
- Competent modifying still and motion graphics using After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Basic graphic design experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Able to handle numerous situations, duties, and responsibilities, often under limited time constraints, with poise and composure.
- On set experience preferred.
- Experience with remote recording, especially using Riverside.fm. preferred.
- Ability to create still and/or motion graphics from scratch preferred.
- Experience conducting interviews or coaching performances preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Smartsheet, and Outlook preferred.
