Job Description | The Texas State One Stop works with the offices of Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid and Scholarships, Student Business Services, and University Registrar to assist students and their families with navigating the admissions, financial aid, and payment processes.
The One Stop Navigator in the TXST One Stop will work closely with students to help them understand everything from the application process to paying their semester bill. The position is important to the overall Enrollment Plan in effectively facilitating students’ decisions to attend Texas State and then persist with their enrollment to graduation. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential to this position. Also critical to this role is the ability to critically analyze processes and provide recommendations to improve them (thus, improving the student journey), as well as the ability to navigate resources, policies, and procedures across multiple on-campus departments.
Job Duties | Responsible for understanding and interpreting the needs of students and providing quality student service for all home office service areas Engage daily with students via email, chat, online meetings, calls, etc. Offer personalized customer service while representing Texas State and its values Navigate confidential student information across multiple systems Accurately document interactions with students Determine the quickest, most effective ways to answer student or parent questions Escalate queries and concerns as needed and appropriate Troubleshoot common issues with technology and student access Undergo ongoing training on federal, state, and institutional regulations, policies and procedures Ability to comply with university policies Ability to answer student and parent questions of considerable depth regarding the home offices and in the most effective and efficient manner possible Perform other duties as assigned
