Overview
Simulation Lab Coordinator - RN Required. This position pays $105k annually. The Simulation Lab Coordinator supports the nursing department by managing the nursing skills lab and leading the planning and delivery of the simulation curriculum. This role includes overseeing lab operations, training faculty, instructing students, and assessing re-entry candidates.
Responsibilities
Oversee inventory, purchasing, maintenance, and repairs for all skills lab supplies and equipment.
Collaborate with the Director of Nursing Education on lab equipment planning and acquisition.
Design, prepare, and implement all simulation experiences aligned with curriculum objectives.
Train faculty to effectively deliver and facilitate simulation scenarios.
Provide student tutoring, skills remediation, and practice sessions.
Serve as Chair of the campus Simulation Committee and contribute to system-wide simulation initiatives.
Support teaching needs, including lesson planning, instruction, and student evaluation.
Maintain accurate records of student grades, attendance, and professional conduct.
Stay current on best practices in simulation and nursing education.
Support graduation preparation and attend ceremonies.
Qualifications
Active and unencumbered RN licensure in the state of CA.
Associate's degree in Nursing (RN) and three (3) years of clinical experience (required).
Minimum one (1) year of teaching experience (preferred).
Expertise in the area of assignment that demonstrates the skills needed to provide instruction.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for instruction and interaction with students and colleagues.
This position is designated as On Campus or On-Site; travel to and from campus required.
