Description of Work  | The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (OLLI) is a membership-based lifelong learning program for adults 50 years old plus. OLLI offers noncredit courses, lectures, events and travel opportunities. No tests, no grades, just a love of learning.

As the OLLI Communications Associate, you will:Work with member volunteer marketing and membership committees and OLLI staff to set the direction for marketing Develop campaigns for membership recruitment and retention and promote OLLI to media sources Create content for social media campaigns, produce catalogs, disseminate e-newsletters, maintain the website and work with video editing Assist the program and event coordinators to ensure all areas of programming are covered, assisting with events and travel programming Serve as a liaison on the Voices and Perspectives committee Assist with curriculum areas as needed. Serve as a backup for the office staff assistant in their absence. Work under the direct supervision of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) Director

Minimum Required Qualifications 
Associate’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field plus 2 years of relevant experience in communications, marketing or related work required; equivalent education/experience considered. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are necessary. Excellent customer-service skills and ability to relate effectively with members/participants in the program essential. Must pay attention to detail and have the ability to multitask. Experience using word processing, database and spreadsheet computer software required.
