Description of Work The Operations Assistant is a vital member of the Office of Admissions, serving as the first point of contact for visitors and ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and professional reception area. This position oversees front-desk operations and plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service to prospective students, families, and campus stakeholders. In addition to reception and visitor management, the Operations Assistant provides operational and administrative support that enables the smooth functioning of the office of admissions, including managing office deliveries and shipments, oversight of office supplies, mail room management, print projects, and responding to any related e-mails, calls or Teams messages. The role also includes supporting recruitment operations, assisting with recruitment materials inventory, and materials requests fulfillment, and University fleet coordination. Finally, the position provides administrative support to the Executive Director of Admissions including calendar management, coordinating travel, assisting with financial reimbursements or purchase card transactions.

Experiences can include those conducted while still in school. Experience with clerical or administrative office tasks. Experience with Microsoft Office. Self-starter and demonstrates the ability to multi-task and is well organized. Proficient in Microsoft Windows. Ability to learn and work in a university Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system. Ability to learn and work in the Student Information System (SIS). Ability to adapt to a changing work environment and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to be a leader and take charge when the supervisor is not available.
Preferred Qualifications Demonstrates familiarity with supervision. Experience with project and calendar management. Maintains a high level of detail orientation. Demonstrates efficiency and reliability. Experience with relating/communicating with a variety of age groups and populations. Working in an office environment.
