JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The 
School of Labor and Employment Relations in the 
College of the Liberal Arts is seeking a detail-oriented and student-focused 
Part-Time Academic Program Assistant to support admissions, student services, and academic operations for our online graduate programs. This role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely, friendly communication with applicants and newly admitted students.
- Track applications, monitor missing materials, and coordinate committee reviews.
- Manage applicant and student data in spreadsheets and university systems.
- Support outreach related to admission decisions and enrollment updates.
- Assist with graduation check-out and related student services processes.
- Support curricular submissions, record updates, and general administrative tasks.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and database systems (LionPATH or similar preferred).
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
- Positive, professional, and student-centered attitude.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
