Part-time Corporate Trainer - Lean and Six Sigma Full Description

Overview: 
Seeking qualified instructors for the Workforce and Community Development Division (WCD) to deliver contract training in Lean and Six Sigma or related process improvement topics on or off-campus to employees or trainees of business and industry, government, and community-based partners. Training may be delivered as stand-alone workshops, seminars, or in series that span weeks or months. Training may be done independently or require collaboration with other WCD Corporate Trainers.

Responsibilities: 
  1. Deliver outcome-based trainings as assigned.
  2. Develop new or customize existing curriculum as required for assigned trainings.
  3. Attend meetings to further develop customized training for corporate and community partners.
  4. Lead a classroom environment that is respectful of diversity and demonstrates a commitment to inclusion.
  5. Remain current on developments in the teaching field so that instruction is delivered for a variety of learning styles, uses the latest supportive technology, and utilizes alternative delivery methods.
  6. Regularly communicate training delivery and curriculum effectiveness with WCD staff.
  7. Demonstrate independence, flexibility, professionalism, and effective communication, collaboration, and rapport with WCD staff, other Corporate Trainers, and participants receiving corporate training.
  8. Complete assigned college onboarding and training. 

Qualifications: 
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Quality or related field.
  2. Five years of occupational experience.
 
Desired Qualifications:
  1. Certification in one or more Lean Six Sigma belts: white, yellow, green, or black.
  2. Previous training/teaching experience with Lean training.
