Wytheville Community College (WCC) will be hiring one (1) part-time Middle School Coach to enhance existing career readiness services at Marion Middle School through the implementation of additional career exploration opportunities. The Middle School Career Coach will provide Career Exploration, Goal Setting and Planning, Skills Development, Collaboration and Advocacy and Post-Secondary Planning for students.
This position is a grant funded position for a three-year period. The successful candidate must be able to pass the WCC and Public School background check.
Special Assignments | May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications | Experience working with middle school students;
Experience working with parents and school administration;
Experience working within communities served;
Knowledge of career inventories and non-cognitive assessments;
Excellent customer service and communication skills; and
Skills in MS Office and documenting reporting requirements.
