About the Team: 
At Elsevier, we help the world of research to make high-value decisions with confidence through a rich portfolio of services and products such as Scopus, Engineering Village (EV), and SciVal. The high-quality connected data and insights that these products provide come from our Research Data Platform (RDP), underlying Elsevier’s analytics business. To maintain the authority of the content and data collections, all collections of the RDP adhere to rigorous policies for selection, coverage, and processing, as established by the Content & Policy team. Ensuring that both the content and the metrics used to evaluate it uphold high standards of quality and integrity is a top priority. This team works closely with the Operations team, the solutions product managers and the publishers of the content to serve the end users’ needs. 

About the Role:
As Product Support for Conferences and Engineering Collections, you ensure content adheres to policy and is trustworthy. You guide policy execution, collaborate with Operations to resolve data quality issues, and act as a subject matter expert for content selection to foster growth and meet market needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and resolve issues within content to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist the title evaluation process by validating title suggestions and providing domain insights. Analyze coverage and completeness of the collections and identify possible gaps and biases. Perform UAT testing for the title evaluation systems.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the content and data. Ensure collections meet the highest research integrity standards.
  • Support policy development by monitoring implementation and suggesting improvements.
  • Report on content status and metrics to aid in content growth and policy initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Have an understanding of scholarly publications and research evaluation.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of engineering subject areas.
  • Be detail-oriented with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be a collaborative team player who builds relationships effectively.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

The salary range provided in this posting is the base salary range for NYC:$70,200.00 - $117,000.00
