Position Summary Information 
Primary Purpose  | Reporting to the Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, the Program and Operations Manager is a growth-minded and technologically-forward professional responsible for the management and coordination of DEI Office programs, budget, revenue, and operations. The Program and Operations Manager provides advanced analysis for budgetary and data collection, reporting, forecasting, logistics, and revenue projection, and coordinates strategic programs through advanced project management. This position is vital for the operational growth and expansion of inclusive leadership programs and equity-centric professional development across the university and external communities.

Essential Functions  | The Project and Operations Manager is an operational and strategic leader who develops and coordinates a complex matrix of programmatic and operational activities for the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion including the development of a revenue model and coordination of project management. This role will drive growth through effective financial management, operational efficiencies, research, revenue-generation, technology-integration, assessment, and communications.

In support of DEI staff, manages and executes long and short term projects, initiatives and programs including the coordination of logistics matrix to support the Office. Assists DEI staff in strategic planning, allocation of existing resources, and new revenue generation. Organizes and tracks strategic initiatives to achieve key milestones. Working with the VPDEI and University Budget Office, develops comprehensive budgets for resource management from current, designated/ restricted, grant, and gift funds. Provides recommendations for operational efficiencies. Measures and collects data for effectiveness and impact. Supports students, staff and faculty by understanding university and community resources for academic and personal assistance. Serves as liaison with the Office of Strategic Communications. Drafts briefings, and prepares summaries in support of Office goals. Integrates new technologies and technical support for Office efficiencies and success. Responsible for the management and maintenance of financial records; executes contracts; reconciles and processes Procard(s) for office; manages office epafs; journal entries, budget transfers, and payment requests. Attends monthly Business Manager Meetings and serves on institutional committees as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned.
This position serves as Campus Security Authority (CSA) as outlined by the Clery Act. CSA’s have federally mandated responsibilities to report crimes that are reported to them.

Minimum Qualifications  | Bachelor’s Degree. Three (3) years of Project Management Experience.
Preferred Qualifications  | Master’s Degree. Revenue Generation Experience. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated experience or commitment to advancing principles of equity and inclusion in a workplace environment. Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive research and practices into their work.

Valid driver’s license required. Incumbent must also be able to meet the University’s fleet rules and be eligible to drive for University business. The University and its insurance carrier reserves the right to exclude applicants based on their driving record.

Hiring Range  | $31.30-$41.48 per hour. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
