 Position Description 
Advertised Job Summary  | Assist the PI in maintaining the overall scientific integrity of an NIH-funded study that seeks to improve current and future chronic illness management among adults living with Chronic illness and their caregivers (care partners) in medically underserved and rural areas of South Carolina. Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Project Coordinator will provide day-to-day administrative, fiscal, operational, and implementation oversight of the project, as well as supervise the research staff and student volunteers, and lead participant recruitment while ensuring compliance with the study protocol, operating policies and procedures, study timelines, as well as with applicable institutional IRB policies and procedures, Federal regulations, and Sponsor requirements.

Assist the PI in maintaining the overall scientific integrity of an NIH-funded study. Works closely with the PI to ensure that protocols are followed. Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of study implementation and monitoring compliance. Supervises data collection related to the study; reviews data for inconsistencies and missing information (quality control); and assists in producing project updates and reports. Responsible for monitoring weekly reports of intervention dose, fidelity, and attendance. Responsible for implementing the recruitment plan and overseeing recruitment and retention.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience  | Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications  | Master’s degree in public health, or a healthcare related field; clinical trials experience.  Experience in a leadership/supervisor role.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities  | Self-motivated, organized, and able to accomplish work independently according to identified timelines and deadlines within a specified budget.  A high proficiency with commonly used computer software, Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and REDCap. Able to communicate effectively and can work with diverse clinical and community populations and interact with the general public and community partners in a professional and courteous manner. This position requires occasional travel to off-site locations for meetings.  Flexibility in work schedule to include evening hours and occasional weekends.
