Job Summary/Basic Function: The Program Coordinator will work with the Program Manager to oversee the activities of the Wright State University Moms2B program. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will supervise students from the Social Work program of the College of Health, Education, and Human Services, provide case management, conduct and teach social emotional lessons related to pregnancy and maternal health, and engage in community outreach.
Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program with 2 years of related experience. Licensed as a Social Worker (LISW-S with supervisor designation) or the ability to acquire licensure in Ohio within six months of appointment. Demonstrated ability to supervise. Documented quality performance in the areas of case management, program development, community outreach, and supervision.
Preferred Qualifications | Licensed in Ohio at the time of hire. Master’s degree from an accredited program preferred. Familiarity with resources in Montgomery County for pregnant moms and their families. Supervision experience and a team player.
Essential Functions and percent of time: | 50% – Work with the Program Manager to manage the daily activities of Moms2B.Conduct intakes, provide case management for the pregnant moms and their families, and develop and teach social emotional lessons related to pregnancy and maternal health. Participate as a team member with the Moms2B interdisciplinary staff.
30% – Supervise the social work student(s) to ensure they are fulfilling their training needs identified by the Social Work Department of the College of Health, Education, andHuman Services. Assist social work student(s) in developing and implementing social emotional lessons related to pregnancy and maternal health. Assist and oversee social work student(s) as they enter case-related data into the tracking system.
10% – Work with the Program Manager to strengthen and grow partnerships with stakeholders to address individual social determinants of health.
10% – Attend community meetings and community health fairs to distribute information about Moms2B and market the program.
