Position Summary Information 
Job Description Summary  | The Program Development Assistant will support the Director in Phase 1 of the Center’s revisited vision, with a focus on grant identification, alumni engagement, and mentoring‑program launch. This part‑time role is ideal for a highly motivated fourth‑year undergraduate with strong business acumen, critical‑thinking skills, and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities  | Key Responsibilities (may vary depending on priorities and deployment timing)

Grant Identification
Utilize grant watch search platform to identify funding opportunities Help prepare concise summaries of grant requirements, deadlines, and fit analyses for the Director’s review Assist in drafting and compiling application materials and documentation

Alumni Outreach & Mentoring Program DevelopmentLeverage LinkedIn Sales Navigator to map and segment Chapman Argyros alumni and broader Chapman University alumni networks Craft personalized outreach messages to recruit mentors and industry partners Coordinate introductory calls, informational sessions, and mentor–student matching logistics

Phase 1 Redeployment SupportCollaborate on project‑planning activities: timelines, deliverable tracking, and stakeholder communications Organize and attend strategy meetings when possible Maintain shared project documentation (e.g., Google Drive, Teams, etc)

Administrative & Data ManagementUpdate and maintain databases of grants opportunities, alumni contacts, and program metrics
Required Qualifications  | Enrolled as a fourth‑year undergraduate (preferably majoring in International Business, Marketing, or related field) Able to balance work and study to ensure that education performance is not affected Demonstrated professional attitude and strong business mindsetExcellent critical‑thinking and prioritization skills; able to juggle competing deadlines Hands‑on and proactive Strong written and verbal communication abilities Familiarity with LinkedIn and/or other professional networking tools Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and cloud‑based collaboration platforms
