Advertising/Posting Title | Program Director, Arts & Innovation
Posting Summary | Join the University of Vermont as the Program Director for Arts and Innovation! This leadership role advances the Arts & Creativity and Innovation & Entrepreneurship learning communities by integrating academics and co-curricular experiences. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to design engaging initiatives aligned with UVM’s mission. Oversee curriculum implementation, budgeting, recruitment, marketing, and program evaluation. Partner closely with faculty, affiliates, and the Residential Education team to create meaningful learning opportunities that inspire personal and academic growth. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader who stays current with trends in arts, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Help shape vibrant communities that enrich students’ lives and contribute to the success of University Housing & Dining Services.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) | Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Three to five years of experience in residential life, learning communities, or equivalent. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice, and fostering a collaborative multicultural environment.
Desirable Qualifications | Master’s degree in a related field. Experience related to the learning community theme. Knowledge of higher education best practices in student engagement and academic support.
Anticipated Pay Range | $57,200-$59,000 (11 months)
Other Information | This is an 11-month position with the month of June off. Standard work week will be M-F, 10 am to 6 pm, with option to flex hours as needed to support on campus programming efforts.
Special Conditions | A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Non-standard work hours required, Bargaining unit position, A probationary period may be required, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Background Check required for this position
