Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Director of Experiential Learning, the Program Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for undergraduate and graduate student compliance readiness prior to participation in off-site experiential learning opportunities. The Program Manager is responsible for facilitating student placement agreements, managing clinical onboarding processes, communicating with new and existing employer partners, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data across multiple platforms and software tools.
A successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional operations and process improvement initiatives, thrives in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment, and excels at building effective relationships with faculty, staff, and employer stakeholders. This position exercises independent judgment in supervising staff, navigating nuanced and sensitive compliance matters, and coordinating external partnerships.

Position Salary Range:
- $56,000 - $61,000 per year; DOE
Essential Duties:
- Supervises professional support staff, including through onboarding, performance management, workload prioritization, and professional development.
- Develops clinical onboarding resources and manages communication of compliance requirements with students, faculty, and staff.
- Provides technical advice, problem solving assistance, and support with compliance questions.
- Manages routine site and student compliance escalations and partners with the Director on complex cases to determine appropriate follow-up.
- Leads employer engagement efforts for new and existing internship site. partners.
- Oversees preparation and coordination of academic affiliation agreements and advises leadership on risks, requirements, and readiness for approval.
- Serves as primary liaison between employers, the Office of Clinical Partnerships, and faculty leadership on matters related to student placement agreements.
- Contributes to the ongoing design, implementation and evaluation of contracting processes, cross-team operations, and use of technology to meet current and emerging program needs.
- Guides decision-making involved in the process of evaluating and securing new and renewed affiliation agreements.
- Tracks and manages reporting of active and pending site partners and student experiential learning opportunities to support accreditation reviews and other leadership requests.
- Regularly evaluates compliance processes and implements improvements within established policy, bringing forward recommendations for policy-level changes as needed.
- Oversees auditing of opportunities database and collaborates across team to ensure timely approval of positions
- Collaborates with ASU Career Services on career readiness initiatives including career fairs, employer site visits, and educational workshops.
- Represents team at various external, ASU-wide, and College events and reports information back to respective stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong relationship-management and communication skills, with demonstrated success collaborating with faculty, academic leadership, students, and external partners.
- Experience managing risk-informed processes related to student opportunities, with the ability to navigate sensitive or escalated situations.
- Familiarity with academic affiliation agreements including coordination with internal and external stakeholders to support the review and approval processes.
- Demonstrated ability to assess, document, and improve operational processes to increase cross-functional workflow designs and team efficiency.
- Experience supporting data auditing and reporting for accreditation reviews, program assessment, or institutional leadership requests.
