McGraw Hill, the leading provider of digital and print educational resources, is looking for a Program Manager that leads a cross-functional team to effectively and efficiently deliver high-quality products across a portfolio. Ensuring transparency of project status from planning through development and delivery, the Program Manager oversees timelines, budgets and resources. A driving force behind collaboration, the Program Manager will look for innovative solutions and provide coaching to promote continuous improvement while remaining aligned to the overall vision.

What you will be doing:
- Partner with the Curriculum Strategy Lead on roadmap planning, managing scope, prioritization, scheduling, resource estimation, budget, and risk identification.
- Lead and coach a cross-functional team to successfully deliver projects, facilitating meetings, removing roadblocks, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Manage agile project plans and monitor milestones through data-driven dashboards, reporting progress and issues effectively to stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure consistent, transparent communication across project teams, stakeholders, and leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
- Leverage and champion AI-powered tools and workflows, staying current on emerging capabilities to improve team efficiency and delivery outcomes.
- Champion change initiatives by coaching and supporting team members through transitions, fostering adaptability and organizational alignment.
- Contribute to the evolution of PMO standards and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize processes, tools, and team workflows in alignment with organizational goals.
We're looking for someone with:
- Bachelor's degree required, along with 5+ years of proven experience managing complex projects from initiation through delivery.
- Project Management certification required or in progress, with a PMP certification expected to be obtained within 1 year of hire.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage, influence, and negotiate with stakeholders and team members to ensure project success.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess challenges, develop solutions, and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Proven risk management capabilities, including the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks while adapting quickly to changing project conditions and priorities.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time as required for project meetings, stakeholder engagements, and organizational activities.
- Preferred: Experience managing Agile projects using Scrum or other Agile methodologies, demonstrating familiarity with iterative planning and delivery practices.
- Preferred: Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira and Smartsheet to support planning, tracking, and cross-team coordination.

The pay range for this position is between $93,950 - $110,000 annually. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
