Program Manager Strategic Plan Full Description

Job Summary:
The Strategic Plan Program Manager supports the implementation and program management of TCU’s new Values in Action Strategic Plan. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the successful execution of strategic initiatives, fostering collaboration across departments, and tracking progress to achieve TCU’s institutional goals. The Program Manager will work closely with the Chief University Strategy and Innovation Officer, TCU leadership, and stakeholders to coordinate efforts, manage resources, and ensure alignment with the TCU’s mission and values.
 
Duties & Essential Job Functions:
1. Supports the implementation of the Values in Action Strategic Plan, ensuring initiatives are executed on time, within scope, and within budget.
2. Develops detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables for strategic initiatives and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve milestones.
3. Identifies and mitigates risks, resolve issues, and adjusts plans as necessary to ensure the success of programs.
4. Serves as a central point of contact for stakeholders involved in the strategic plan, fostering transparency and communication. Facilitates regular meetings, workshops, and updates to maintain momentum and engagement across the university community.
5. Develops and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact and success of strategic initiatives.
6. Prepares comprehensive reports and presentations for university leadership, detailing progress, challenges, and outcomes.
7. Leads change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, programs, and initiatives across the university.
8. Collaborates with communications teams to create messaging and materials that promote the strategic plan and its impact.
9. Fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability throughout the implementation process.
10. Identifies opportunities to refine and enhance the strategic plan implementation process.
11. Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Required Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree 
• 5+ years of experience in program or project management, strategic planning, or related roles, preferably within higher education or nonprofit organizations.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs or initiatives.
 
Preferred Education & Experience:
• Advanced degree in business administration, project management, higher education administration, or a related field.
• Familiarity with higher education operations, trends, and challenges.
• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to advancing TCU’s mission and values.
