University of South Carolina is hiring a Program Manager UME. The Program Manager will oversee and optimize the administrative and academic operations supporting the Undergraduate Medical Education programs at the School of Medicine Columbia. They will supervise staff, manage complex educational logistics, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead projects to maintain high-quality undergraduate medical education.

Requires bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of certification, training, and education.
Preferred qualifications include a master's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related fields and experience in undergraduate medical education administration.
Proficiency with budgeting, university procurement, educational technology, learning management systems, and data reporting tools.
Salary range: $72,093 - $108,139 with a full-time, 12-month work schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

Advertised Job Summary | Program Manager for Undergraduate Medical Education is responsible for managing and optimizing the administrative and academic operations that support Undergraduate Medical Education programs at the School of Medicine Columbia. This role plays a critical leadership function in ensuring program quality, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Under limited supervision of the Associate Dean of Medical Education, the Program Manager will supervise administrative staff, manage complex educational logistics, and manage day-to-day operations to deliver high-quality undergraduate medical education experience. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience | Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 5 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials | Preferred Qualifications | Master’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, education management, or related fields is preferred. 2–5 years of experience in undergraduate medical education or health professions education administration. Higher education experience and five or more years in a supervisory role.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities | Strong knowledge of academic operations, accreditation standards (e.g., LCME), and undergraduate medical education delivery. Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and project management skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical abilities. Proficiency with budgeting and University procurement.
