Job Description  | The Project Manager is responsible for guiding resources, tracking project progress, identifying schedules and project issues and resolutions, implementing project management tools, and training staff, as necessary. In addition, the Project Manager keeps all stakeholders apprised of the progress of course and program development. The Project Manager reports to the Lead Project Manager.

Education and Experience  | Bachelor’s degree; master’s preferred. PMP certification preferred. 2+ years of experience managing small to medium-sized projects in a diverse organization or with diverse stakeholders is required. Knowledge of and experience using a structured project management methodology, tools, and techniques for the entire project lifecycle and across all PMI knowledge areas. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously; providing effective project team member direction; providing stakeholder management. Knowledge of and successful experience using a structured approach to business process analysis and redesign.

Skills and Knowledge  | Understanding of the online course development cycle including ideation, planning, deliverables, quality assurance, and final product delivery. Ability to interact, communicate and present to all project stakeholders. Understanding of project and portfolio management tools to document work completed, work in progress, and projected work. Ability in making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with a project. Knowledge of performance measurement using appropriate project management tools, techniques, and metrics. Advanced time management and analytical skills including identifying project slowdowns and guiding team efficiency. Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to extract relevant data from large data sets and communicate it in a relatable format. Provides analytical support for routine budget projects. Microsoft Office suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities  | Assists Lead Project Manager to identify and align related resources; produces project charters and project plans. Assists Lead Project Manager to communicate goals and expectations with instructors, Course Development Manager, Assistant Director, and academic program manager. Resolves problems that have a significant impact on the overall goals of the department. Coordinates meetings with CODL constituents and stakeholders within the client schools and colleges. Oversees, monitors, and measures all course and other project development with regard to milestones, resources, timelines, schedules, and results. Sets clear quantitative measures for progress in course development. Identifies risks and uncertainty. Regularly interacts with stakeholders to give and receive feedback. Orchestrates multiple activities to accomplish a goal. Provides notifications and alerts as necessary. Creates and implements reporting system and reports with quantifiable and relatable data. Produce reports and charts on project development. Generates weekly status reports to leadership and all other reporting. Trains stakeholders in the use of the tools. Assists Lead Project Manager to research, implement, maintain, update, and manage project management tools. Assists Lead Project Manager to compile and furnish data as needed to make data-driven decisions. Organizes and keeps accurate and current records in a logical organizing system that is accessible to appropriate others. Other duties as assigned.
