Job Summary
The Project Manager drives cross-functional projects of medium-to-high complexity. Leads distributed teams under the direction of the Vice President of Regional Campuses (VPRC), which often consist of representatives from a myriad of university departments, runs multiple projects simultaneously and shepherds projects through the project life cycle. Manages and ‘owns’ all phases of multiple projects from ‘initiation’ to ‘completion’. Typical projects involve multiple departments/divisions/systems and may be at the departmental, divisional or enterprise level.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $82,000-$85,000. The final offer will be based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Initiation & Planning:
    • Lead cross-functional teams and stakeholders through project initiation, charter development, stakeholder analysis, and kickoff.
    • Facilitate planning to define requirements, budget, timeline, risks, resources, and communication strategies.
Vendor & Resource Management:
  • Oversee vendor relationships and equipment provisioning as needed.
  • Manage procurement activities and ensure resource alignment.
Execution & Oversight:
  • Direct project execution, manage quality, team performance, communications, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Monitor risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Tracking & Reporting: Track costs to stay within budget and monitor project progress for quality and efficiency. Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Two (2) years experience managing projects or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience in similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating projects for Regional Campus operations.
  • Valid driver’s license. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP or similar Project management certification.
  • Master’s Degree or MBA.
  • Five (5) or more years experience leading projects within higher education setting.
  • Experience with Change Management and resource capacity.
  • Experience in creating statements of work, and vendor evaluation and managing contractor resources.
  • Experience using Project Management tools such as MS Project, ServiceNow, SharePoint or equivalent.
  • Experience with process management and documentation.

  • Basic knowledge of project management methodologies, change management techniques,
  • IT concepts, and current IT trends.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional projects of low to moderate complexity and manage some projects simultaneously
