The Office of Proposal Development (OPD) is seeking two Proposal Coordinators to join our dynamic team! OPD is a shared services unit offering administrative support for pre-award research development operating within the Geophysical Institute at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. To Thrive in this role the successful candidate will demonstrate strong time management skills, excellent customer service, and great attention to detail. Having experience in proposal development would be very beneficial, but it is not required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree and two years progressively responsible experience related to grant proposal development, or an equivalent combination of training and expertise.
Candidates that do not possess a degree or two years of progressively responsible experience but have at least two or all of the following skills and/or knowledge will be considered:
Computer knowledge of Mac or Windows compatible computers; general accounting understanding for budget preparation, and/or prior fiscal tech experience. Advanced software knowledge of word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
All candidates are required to possess typing skills with a speed of 45 wpm or more.
Position Details:
This position is full-time,
Grade 78, continuing, non-exempt, 12-month position complete with a competitive salary and
UA employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental, and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the
UA staff salary schedule, based on education and experience.
