The Quality Engineering (QE) Lead to drive quality assurance efforts across our software development lifecycle. This role will be instrumental in defining test strategies, leading automation initiatives, and enhancing development processes. The QE Lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.
This Hybrid role requires in-person work 3 days a week at our Newton, MA headquarters.

Responsibilities:
- Work with business team in understanding and documenting well defined requirements
- Serve as an internal SME for assigned projects, providing guidance to team members and stakeholders.
- Lead quality engineering efforts independently, including test planning, execution, and defect management.
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, system, regression, and UAT.
- Lead test automation initiatives, including the development of scalable automation frameworks.
- Leverage automation test suites, including no-code/low-code platforms to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Maintain and update test cases and documentation to reflect evolving application functionality.
- Drive process improvements and participate in defect triage to ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 8 years' experience in testing web-based and/or mobile applications, including 2-3 years of experience in leading projects with multiple team members

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience in estimating time, effort, and resources for testing activities.
- Solid understanding of quality management principles and best practices
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Experience working with offshore and geographically distributed development and testing teams.
- Extensive experience with test automation platforms, including no-code/low-code solutions (e.g. AccelQ)
- Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements and experience supporting audit processes.
Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $106,000 - $130,000 annually. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.

Also, depending on hire date and subject to applicable eligibility requirements and accrual schedules, new employees in this role receive up to: 9 paid holidays annually; 40 hours of sick time per year based on full-time schedule, and 80 hours of vacation time per year based on full-time schedule (vacation time may be used for sick leave purposes under any applicable state or local sick or safe time law).
