Department Summary
The Division of Enrollment Management within the University of North Texas Health Science Center encompasses Admissions & Recruitment, Financial Aid and Student Records & Enrollment. This team assists students from the beginning of their academic journey through their degree completion at UNTHSC.
Position Overview
The Department of Admissions and Recruitment at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Recruitment/Admissions Associate to join our team, within the Office of Recruitment. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, will have the skillset needed to speak to and interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds and will have excellent oral and written communication skills. This position: Provides outstanding customer service to the prospective applicants and current students. Assists with the application process. Follows up with prospective applicants and current students promptly either through emails, telephone or regular mail or by having a brief face to face interaction. Travels DFW, the State of TX, and Out of State Institutions to various College Fairs and Events representing HSC.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and one year related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Familiarity with college/university admissions, including application review, eligibility requirements, and enrollment procedures.Understanding of best practices for attracting and engaging prospective students, including outreach and marketing techniques.Knowledge of using databases, CRM systems (like Salesforce, Slate, etc.), and applicant tracking systems to manage candidate data.Awareness of higher education trends, demographic shifts, and emerging recruitment strategies.Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with prospective students, families, and internal teams.Ability to provide excellent service, answer inquiries, and support applicants through the admissions process.Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities, especially during peak recruitment seasons.Competency in using office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite) and specialized recruitment/admissions tools.Ability to efficiently prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while handling a variety of responsibilities.Ability to fly on a commercial airline.Ability to project and plan travel expenses.Ability to track and report all travel expenses.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in higher education recruitment or admissions.Familiarity with managing and organizing virtual events or programs.Proficiency in virtual tools such as Teams, Calendly, Salesforce, or EIS.Strong technology skills, including knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Job Duties:
Speak to both large and small groups of people about HSC programs.Develops relationships with Advisors at various Higher Education institutions and leads efforts in recruitment.Managing email inquiries and assisting with file reviews.Contributing to the development and success of our virtual recruitment initiatives.Providing exceptional customer service to prospective students.Maintains computerized records of prospects, and contact persons and produces timely reports using the information in the data base.

Communicating with others to exchange information.Lifting and Moving objects up to 20 pounds.Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

Work Schedule:Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some evenings and weekends as required.
