Job Summary  | The Office of Sponsored Projects Administration (OSPA) is seeking a Research Administrator Assistant.

This position is eligible for remote work for candidates with prior research administration experience.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to … setting up new sponsored project accounts in the OSPA database ensuring data accuracy before transferring accounts to Research Financial Services (RFS) processing account modifications such as no-cost extensions, PI or personnel changes, and budget revisions ensuring all changes and budget revisions comply with sponsor and institutional guidelines before processing resolving post-award issues with award review, account set-up, and associated business processes within area of specialization or responsibility ensuring appropriate documentation of sponsored project proposal and award activities and/or retention per standard OSPA processes to ensure proper proposal and award records, documentation of completed processes, and to prepare UK and PIs for audits

OSPA is responsible for administering over $480 million in extramural grants and contracts awarded through the University of Kentucky Research Foundation. Services are available to all University faculty and staff and include: advice and assistance with budget preparation and other administrative requirements of proposals; proposal submission; review, negotiation and acceptance of awards; interpretation and information regarding sponsor policies and regulations; preparation of subcontract documents; administration of UK’s Conflict of Interest Policy.
