Responsibilities	Research Data Analyst Execute intermediate-level data analyses, including regression and multivariate methods, to inform research objectives. Proficient in the use of software including REDCap, R, Python, SAS, or SPSS to manipulate data, create visualizations, and generate summaries. Review business requirements given on assignment or may gather requirements and seek clarification from end users for straightforward analytical tasks. Document methods used and analyses performed as necessary. Escalate complex issues to senior data analysts or PI for further action. Develop moderately advanced analytical and reporting tools. Follow standard procedures for analytical and reporting tool development. Support reporting and decision-making. Integrate data from one or multiple sources into analytical tools. Provide technical support on customized analytics and reporting tools. Work is expected to be done autonomously with overall guidance and direction from leadership.
Minimum Qualifications	EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience). Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels: Research Data Analyst I: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience or a master’s (or equivalency) degree. Research Data Analyst II: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience. Research Data Analyst III: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience. Research Data Analyst IV: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 8 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 6 years of directly related work experience.
