How can you make an impact?
We’re looking for a Core Sales Representative to join our team. Reporting to a Senior District Sales Manager in our School Sales Organization, the Sales Representative will be responsible for driving Prek-12 sales across Western Massachusetts and Rhode Island by connecting with faculty and key stake holders at the school and district-level. Sales Representatives are experienced communicators who are highly organized, data-driven, and have the ability to quickly learn and leverage new technologies to maximize the impact of McGraw Hill solutions on educators and learners. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit – is willing to seek out, engage and close business all while working in a dynamic/complex environment. Intellectual curiosity and an appreciation for educational institutions are keys to success in this role.
 
This is a remote position available to applicants located in Massachusetts and open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.
 
What you will be doing:
  • Consistently attain and exceed sales goals by advancing the sale, building strong customer relationships, and expanding market penetration within the K-12 education space, including support for fragile populations.
  • Create and execute strategic territory and marketing plans with strong organization and follow-through; prioritize customer base, ensure availability, visibility, and promotional activities aligned to customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive customer profiles; identify and influence customer needs while building new contacts to support long-term business growth.
  • Effectively communicate across internal and external stakeholders to shape sales, marketing, and product development strategies, while demonstrating business acumen and crafting competitive solutions.
  • Adapt to and utilize multiple software platforms, devices, and tools; independently conduct research, synthesize information, and apply learnings to enhance performance and strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal partners in a remote work environment, traveling up to 75% by ground, while responsibly managing company resources including a vehicle, credit card, home office, and equipment.
 
We are looking for someone with:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven track record as a high achiever with at least 3 years of sales experience, specifically within the K-12 education space is preferred or having teaching experience.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with excellent time management and the ability to work independently and problem-solve creatively.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, adapt to change, and maintain a competitive, success-driven mindset.
  • Proficient in productivity software, including SalesForce.com and Microsoft Office—with an emphasis on Excel—for reporting, analysis, and communication.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including occasional overnight stays, and lift up to 50 lbs as required.
  • Holds a valid driver’s license and maintains the physical capacity and flexibility to support field-based responsibilities.

The pay range for this position is between $62,000-$90,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
