We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Salesforce Developer to enhance and integrate our Salesforce CRM capabilities. This role requires translating complex business needs into efficient, scalable, and secure technical solutions. The developer will work closely with stakeholders, Salesforce administrators, and team members to design custom applications, build integrations, and ensure seamless data workflows. They will also contribute to long-term platform stability by identifying and reducing technical debt through code cleanup and optimization.
The ideal candidate has experience in Salesforce application development, a strong command of programming languages like Apex, JavaScript, and SOQL/SOSL, and a background in software engineering or computer science. Candidates should be comfortable with SnapLogic, DBamp, and SQL Server databases, including MS SQL Management Studio, to troubleshoot issues and modernize integration with Salesforce. Experience with Git, Gearset, and Jenkins is required for version control and deployment.
Position Salary Range:
$80,000 - $90,000/yr DOE
Essential Duties:
- Develop and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, SnapLogic, DBamp, and SQL Server databases
- Build and maintain custom solutions to support the transition from Salesforce Classic to Lightning, ensuring a smooth migration process
- Develop and optimize SOQL and SOSL queries for efficient data retrieval and search functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring system performance, security, and data integrity
- Implement authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, SAML, and Single Sign-On (SSO) to secure integrations
- Optimize data workflows through efficient data modeling and automation of business logic using Apex triggers and batch processing
- Utilize debug logs, Apex exception handling, and performance monitoring tools to diagnose and resolve system issues
- Identify, test, and remove unused or deprecated code to reduce technical debt and improve maintainability
- Implement and enforce best practices for Salesforce security, scalability, and maintainability
- Manage deployments and version control using Git, Gearset, and Jenkins
- Collaborate with stakeholders and Salesforce administrators to align technical solutions with business needs and ensure platform stability
- Stay up to date with Salesforce releases, tools, and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement
Desired Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Salesforce application development and integrations
- Strong proficiency in Apex, LWC, SOQL, SOSL, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS
- Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, SAML, and Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Experience with SnapLogic, DBamp, and SQL Server databases, including MS SQL Management Studio
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security, automation tools, and performance optimization
- Experience with debugging tools, error handling, and system performance monitoring
- Experience with version control and CI/CD tools like Git, Gearset, and Jenkins
- Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Education Cloud
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to stakeholders and team members.
Preferred:
- Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I or App Builder)
- Knowledge of Python, SQL, or other database tools for advanced data processing
Working Environment:
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse (75%); required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work (10%)
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds (5%)
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally, read, write, see and hear to perform essential functions.
