Job Summary:
The Senior Associate Athletics Director Strategic Communications leads the strategic vision and execution of all athletic communications, creative content, and brand identity for TCU Athletics Department. This leadership position is responsible for enhancing the department’s visibility, storytelling, and fan engagement through innovative communication strategies, content creation, and cohesive brand management across all media platforms.
Duties & Essential Job Functions:
1. Directs and supervises all media and communication strategies, plans and activities for communications team; including TCU Football and other programs as required to include athletic website, social media, email, and other external communication platforms.
2. Develops and executes comprehensive communication plans to promote teams, student-athletes, coaches, and department initiatives.
3. Develops and executes strategic communication initiatives that enhance the reputation and visibility of the football program and its leadership
4. Serves as the primary point of contact for all executive-level communications from the AD, Head Football Coach, and Athletics Department as well as spokesperson/ambassador for the Athletics Department
5. Develops and maintains strong relationships with external media contacts at the local, regional, and national level; identifies opportunities to increase visibility, brand and exposure of the Athletics program.
6. Coordinates all publications, communications, press releases, etc. generated from the AD’s office and football program to generate exposure for TCU and its student-athletes.
7. Serves as primary athletics contact for strategic communication with relevant campus units—including the Chancellor’s Office and the Office of Marketing and Communications.
8. Collaborates with internal and external constituent groups to create and execute engaging and compelling storylines and content across various multi-media and communication and marketing platforms that promote department announcements, stories and news.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 7 years’ experience as proved expertise in media relations, brand management and digital strategy

• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Must be insurable under the university motor vehicle requirements.

• Knowledge and expertise in writing, communications, desktop publishing and internet services.
• Ability to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
