MathWorks is hiring a Senior BI Developer/Analyst. The role involves leading the full lifecycle of reporting using Power BI and Snowflake, transforming enterprise people data such as HRIS and Recruiting ATS systems into actionable insights for business leaders. The candidate will drive high-visibility projects independently and collaborate with various teams to enhance data sourcing, modeling, and reporting capabilities.
Highlights
Lead end-to-end Power BI reporting: requirements gathering, design, build, test, and deployment

Bachelor's degree with 6 years experience or master's with 3 years experience required; US work authorization mandatory
Experience designing and maintaining enterprise semantic models and reporting-specific data marts preferred
Deep understanding of People Data workflows, processes, and metrics, especially HRIS and Recruiting systems
Experience with Snowflake data marts is a significant advantage
Familiarity with Workday HRIS, SAP Business Objects, Tableau, or Adobe Analytics is beneficial

Responsibilities
This role will be a senior contributor on the team, able to work well independently to drive projects to completion, as well as partnering well with team members on larger projects.
Executing full life-cycle Power BI reporting: requirements gathering, design, build, test, and deployment
Develop custom PowerBI/PBI solutions (SQL/DAX) to bridge gaps in our Snowflake model
Partner with our Data Warehouse Team on R&D/data engineering to build/specify new data sources and semantic models to improve our ability to predict outcomes or prescribe directions
Partner with our inhouse Business Applications development partners (who build our ATS, Req System, and Careers Site) as well as our Workday HRIS team to help drive innovation and continuous improvement in data collection and aggregation
Involvement in HR and Recruiting related technical projects
Minimum Qualifications
Experience with business intelligence tools
Expertise with SQL
Experience with Power BI
A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or equivalent experience) is required.
