Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW 
KIPP Indy Public School’s Senior Director of Diverse Learners works intensively with Directors of Diverse Learners, School Leaders, Assistant School Leaders, academic team leaders, teachers, and students to support students at KIPP Indy. Reporting to the Managing Director of Diverse Learners, the SD, DL will play a lead role in strengthening their academic skills, intellectual habits, and character traits needed to succeed in the nation’s most competitive colleges, universities, post-secondary programs, and careers. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Oversee school-level data collection and support desktop monitoring for audits and State/Federal Accountability Measures  
  • Oversee progress monitoring fidelity of IEP implementation 
  • Support Special Education programming, compliance, initiatives and evaluations, through oversight, development, implementation monitoring, and communication 
  • Foster collaboration and alignment between all stakeholders   
  • Create and lead professional development opportunities for DL and larger school teams to ensure best practices with content differentiation, modification, accommodation, and IEP implementation  
  • Supports compliance in PowerSchool Special Programs platform processes  
  • Serve as Public Agency Representative   
  • Coaching, managing, and completing evaluations for all direct reports  
  • Maintain positive relationships with partnering agencies  
  • Maintain all data dashboards and relevant SIS/PowerSchool data to ensure information accuracy and accessibility  
  • Collaborate with MD, Diverse Learners on all Manifestation Determination 

QUALIFICATIONS  
  • Minimum 4 years of exemplary teaching experience with strong student achievement results 
  • Minimum 2 years of exemplary, full-time teacher coaching and adult management experience 
  • Minimum 2 years curriculum development and management 
  • Hold current licensure in Special Education  
  • Model of effective and high-quality instruction 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive student success 
  • Experience planning and leading engaging and effective professional development for adults 
  • Experience in curriculum support, such as assessment writing and/or scope and sequence management 
  • Strong project management skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail 
  • Excellent communicator, who can work with internal and external stakeholders

Additional Information
Licensed teacher starting at $80,000
Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a highly competitive benefits package. Opportunities for performance-based bonuses are also available.
