About the Role
The Sr. Director of Revenue Operations will lead and evolve our revenue operations strategy across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance. This position will report to our Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for ensuring reliable, scalable revenue operations that power  growth and drive productivity.  

As a key business partner to the Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Financial Officer, the Sr. Director of  Revenue Operations sets the strategic direction and execution of processes, systems, and data across the  entire revenue engine. You will drive enterprise-wide technology decisions that enhance operational  efficiency, data integrity, and revenue growth. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership across  Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance to ensure our technology stack supports scalable and  seamless business processes. 

In this role, you will
  • Set the vision for Revenue Operations – Partner with company leadership to define the  future of GTM, aligning systems, processes, and insights with BrainPOP’s growth strategy  and our ideal customer journeys. 
  • Drive operational excellence across functions – Lead cross-functional initiatives to  ensure revenue operations are reliable, compliant, and optimized from lead to sale,  renewal and cash collection, driving continuous improvements. 
  • Enable sales, marketing, and success productivity – Partner with GTM leaders to identify  bottlenecks and scale productivity through automation, streamlined processes, and tech  enablement. 
  • Build and lead high-performing teams – Oversee the Revenue Operations, Revenue  Technology, and Revenue Insights teams, aligning team goals to company priorities,  setting clear and ambitious expectations, and developing leaders. 
  • Own Enterprise-Level System Architecture – Develop our Target Architecture to support  our institutional and consumer businesses, ensuring Salesforce, NetSuite, and other  revenue-critical platforms are integrated, scalable, and optimized for efficiency. 
  • Own data governance and operational visibility – Ensure that our systems produce clean,  trustworthy, and actionable data for forecasting, board reporting, and strategic decision making. 
  • Partner with Finance and Executive Leadership – Collaborate with the CFO, CRO, and  broader executive team to drive planning, investment decisions, and company-wide  alignment. 
  • Oversee Agile Execution & Roadmap Planning – Develop and manage a long-term  technology roadmap towards the target architecture, and break down the roadmap into bi weekly sprints for our revenue technology team.

On your resume
  • 10+ years of experience in revenue operations, business operations, or GTM strategy, including 5+ years in executive leadership.
  • Proven success partnering with C-suite executives and aligning revenue systems with corporate strategy.
  • Deep experience with administrating Salesforce Marketing, Sales, Revenue, and Service Clouds and other revenue technologies. 
  • Deep understanding of lead-to-cash frameworks, SaaS metrics, forecasting, and data governance best practices.
  • Hands-on experience leading Agile transformation and large-scale technology initiatives.
  • Track record of driving executive-level technology strategy and investment decisions.
  • Prior experience in B2B SaaS or EdTech, particularly in recurring/subscription revenue models.

Location:
The BrainPOP team operates in a hybrid work environment: Each role has remote flexibility and an in-person component at our New York headquarters or other meeting locations. Based on the requirements of a specific role, we may prioritize hiring within a commutable distance of our New York headquarters or in another region relevant to that role.

We have competitive pay bands for all other countries based on market standards. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience level, skill set, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. Based on these factors, we expect most of the candidates offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range.
