The Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer is a key technical role responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our core infrastructure. This includes managing a hybrid environment spanning on-premises data centers and cloud platforms. This role will be critical in supporting a major data center migration project while ensuring the reliability and performance of our existing infrastructure.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert-level support for our VMware virtualized environment, including ESXi, vCenter, and virtual machine management.
  • Administer and maintain our NetApp storage infrastructure, focusing on both legacy 7-mode systems and modern AFF platforms.
  • Manage the operational aspects of our Zadara storage solution, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot issues on Windows Server and various Linux distributions.
  • Utilize monitoring and analysis tools to proactively identify and resolve performance and stability issues.
  • Support and maintain core infrastructure services.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to streamline operational tasks.
  • Hybrid Schedule: 3 days remote / 2 days in office
  • 30-day notification period preferred

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 7+ years of experience in an infrastructure or systems engineering role, with a strong focus on virtualization, storage, and operating systems.
  • Technical Skills:
  • VMware: Deep proficiency with the entire VMware suite, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter for virtual machine management, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Storage: Hands-on experience with NetApp (specifically ONTAP, AFF, and 7-mode) and a quick learning ability for new technologies like Zadara. Strong foundational knowledge of data migration methodologies.
  • Operating Systems: Expertise in both Windows Server and various Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu) for administration, configuration, and advanced OS-level troubleshooting.
  • Scripting: Proficiency in automation and scripting languages like PowerShell or Bash to streamline daily operations and migration tasks.
  • VMware: VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV) is highly recommended. It validates a candidate's ability to install, configure, and manage a VMware vSphere environment.
  • Storage: A NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) certification would be a significant advantage, proving proficiency in NetApp's ONTAP operating system.
