Job Description
Note:  This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in the office 2-3 days a week at the St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office location.

Job Summary:
The Senior Instructional Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing effective instructional materials and programs. This role requires a deep understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and the ability to create engaging and impactful learning experiences.

Participates in multiple education based projects with broad scope and/or large impact. Works independently on difficult assignments that are broad in nature requiring originality and ingenuity with appreciable latitude for unreviewed actions or decisions. Provides comprehensive solutions to complex problems.  Extensive contact with internal customers and subject matter experts is required. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Builds and maintains customer relationships at all levels within the organization to ensure internal learning needs are continually met in the most effective manner.
  • Facilitation of information gathering sessions ensuring that all viewpoints, ideas and problems are considered in solutions.
  • Builds development timelines and performs periodic reporting on work progress, project completions and additional ad-hoc reporting as needed.
  • Create instructional materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify learning objectives and performance gaps.
  • Develop content that is clear, concise, and aligned with learning objectives.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and other team members to ensure the accuracy and relevance of instructional materials.
  • Implement evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary improvements.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Utilize various instructional technologies and tools to enhance learning experiences.
  • Participates in establishing objectives and developing processes and procedures to ensure efficient and timely work flow.
  • May perform essential job functions of various positions related to assigned functional area.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills/Previous Experience:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field (Master's preferred) or 5 years of relevant experience or a combination of training, education, and experience. 
  • Strong understanding of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), adult learning theories, and best practices.
  • Instructional design, with a focus on adult learning preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures in consulting, needs assessment, program design and adult learning theory. 
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate), learning management systems (LMS), graphic design and multimedia production.
  • May occasionally work a non-standard shift including nights and/or weekends.

Knowledge of the following highly preferred:
  • Financial services experience preferred.
  • Preparing and delivering written / oral presentations, reports, summaries, surveys and recommendations.
  • Interpreting client input, clarifying issues and developing solutions.
  • Project planning and reporting and coordinating project activities across organizational lines.
