Senior Manager, Customer Success

The Senior Manager of Customer is a strategic leader responsible for driving measurable success across the customer journey—from academic engagement to career outcomes. This role sits at the intersection of instruction, customer success, and workforce readiness, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence and cross-functional collaboration.

You will lead diverse teams and initiatives that ensure learners are supported, progressing, and achieving desired outcomes. This includes oversight of instructional management, student support functions, and career development services, with a focus on data-informed decision-making, scalable systems, and learner satisfaction.

Responsibilities 
Strategic Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team across instructional delivery, student success, and career services
  • Set a clear vision and priorities for learner outcomes, aligned to company goals and learner needs
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Customer Success & Experience
  • Own the learner outcomes strategy, including academic progress, retention, program completion, and post-program success metrics
  • Collaborate with instructional leaders to ensure curriculum quality, instructor performance, and learner engagement
  • Partner with student support teams to design and execute impactful intervention strategies

Career Readiness & Outcomes
  • Oversee initiatives that prepare learners for the workforce, including coaching, career services, and job placement support
  • Develop partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to align learning pathways with career opportunities
  • Track and report career outcomes data, identifying trends and improvement opportunities

Operational Execution
  • Streamline systems and processes that support the learner lifecycle, improving clarity, consistency, and impact
  • Design and implement cross-functional workflows that ensure a seamless learner experience
  • Leverage tools, platforms, and data to improve delivery, engagement, and service quality

Data & Continuous Improvement
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to learner success and satisfaction
  • Conduct regular analyses of program performance, using data to inform decisions and adjustments
  • Lead post-mortems, retrospectives, and pilots to test and scale new initiatives

Experience/ Skills Required
  • 6+ years of experience in education, edtech, higher ed, workforce development, or a related field
  • 3+ years of people management experience, including cross-functional or matrixed teams
  • Proven success improving student outcomes across academic, support, and career domains
  • Strong operational mindset, with a knack for building scalable systems and clear processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Familiarity with instructional design, learner support services, or career development strategies
  • Experience working with data platforms, CRM/LMS systems, and learner analytics tools a plus
