WGU is hiring a Senior Manager of Enterprise Partnerships (Institution Strategy & Ventures) to cultivate and manage high-impact partnerships that expand the university's reach, enhance innovation, and generate new pathways for learners and employers, bridging academic, corporate, and nonprofit ecosystems.
Primary responsibilities:
- Build proactive plans for co-development, joint initiatives, and first-of-its-kind collaborations aligned with enterprise priorities
- Coordinate across internal stakeholders to ensure alignment, risk management, and delivery readiness, negotiating partnership structures that protect WGU's mission and brand
- Oversee progress and performance across partnership initiatives from concept through operational scale
- Serve as the primary bridge between internal teams and partner organizations, leading cross-functional workstreams
- Establish partnership success metrics and dashboards, reporting outcomes to senior leadership and the Board
- Represent WGU at industry events, conferences, and consortia related to education, workforce, and technology innovation
- Lead and mentor a small, high-performing team
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; 7+ years of professional experience in strategic partnerships, corporate development, product management, or innovation strategy; 3+ years leading a team; and demonstrated success building partnerships with Fortune 500 companies, startups, or innovation labs. Equivalent relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
Location: This position works out of WGU's corporate office in Salt Lake City, Utah, with relocation assistance available.
Compensation and benefits: The estimated pay range for this position is $130,600-$235,100. WGU offers bonuses, medical/dental/vision/telehealth coverage, HSA/FSA, life and disability insurance, retirement savings, discounted tuition, and flexible paid time off. The role requires occasional travel of up to 20%, including company summits.
