Senior Product Marketing Manager Full Description

What We’re Looking For:
This role will be responsible for utilizing marketing insights to help drive degree pipeline research, strategy, and progress. This individual will serve as a lead and key collaborator with the Partnership and Sales teams, both in a proactive way creating target lists of goal programs as well as reactively analyzing inbound degree leads. This individual will also work closely with Finance to iterate on program rubrics and models, and other teams on Marketing and Data Science to create more self-service tools that can benefit the degree pipeline. This role will also be responsible for improving the quality of marketing insights provided for sales conversations, including but not limited to: tuition and competitor scans, tracking new disciplines and marketing trends in established disciplines, and vertical deep dives.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
  • Marketing Insights for Pipeline Development: Using market knowledge, develop target lists of ideal programs, as well as feature checklists for each vertical to help guide partnership conversations 
  • New Program Pricing and Product Strategy: Develop standard analytical frameworks to identify product fit, ways to optimize potential programs 
  • Research and Deep Dives: Create deep-dives in most important disciplines to help bolster level of sales conversations by expounding on trends in labor market, education market and competition, internal marketing insights
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensure that marketing, finance, data science insights are being shared with partnerships, and turned into dashboards, rubrics, etc that are useful for partnerships 
  • Ad-HocSales  Support// Dedicated representation of marketing team for pipeline or existing partner callscalls, other needs that arise for partnership team 

Things That Should Be In Your Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; Master’s degree a plus
  • At least 5 - 7 years of relevant work experience
  • A clear understanding of the higher education landscape
  • 5+ years’ experience utilizing data and analytics to formulate sound program objectives, solve business problems, and drive business strategy
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams, communicate with colleagues in both business and technical roles, and develop trusting relationships at all levels
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, and ability to work independently and autonomously

Working Conditions 
May require occasional travel to HQ if remote; NYC or partner universities.
While this position is open to remote candidates across the U.S., we will prioritize those who live in the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area and who are available to come into our Headquarters in Arlington, VA two to three days a week.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is ($115,000-$138,000), with potential bonus eligibility.  Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, budget for the position and cost of labor in the market in which the candidate will be hired.
