AoPS is looking for a Senior Salesforce Engineer to lead complex Salesforce development projects, implement innovative solutions and work with leadership to drive technical strategy for our customer relationship management and business operations systems. As our Senior Salesforce Engineer, you'll be the technical architect behind systems that connect us with brilliant young mathematicians worldwide—building the infrastructure that helps us identify talent, nurture potential, and create pathways to mathematical excellence.

The Senior Salesforce Engineer will:
- Architect and build sophisticated Salesforce applications and integrations that directly connect talented students with learning opportunities, analyzing multiple design approaches to create innovative solutions that scale with our growing community.
- Mentor team members and conduct technical reviews that elevate code quality, ensuring our platform remains robust enough to serve thousands of mathematically gifted students worldwide.
- Optimize and enhance existing Salesforce systems that power student discovery and engagement, identifying improvements that make our educational mission more effective.
- Create comprehensive documentation that enables seamless knowledge transfer, ensuring our educational technology continues to evolve and improve.
- Collaborate with Engineering Leadership to establish development practices that maintain production-quality systems supporting critical educational pathways for gifted learners.
- Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to shape technical strategy from concept to launch, contributing to products that unlock mathematical potential in young minds.
- Communicate project status and timelines with transparency, ensuring educational initiatives launch on schedule to serve waiting students and families.
- Stay current with Salesforce innovations and best practices, continuously expanding expertise to better serve our educational technology needs.
- Support additional initiatives that advance AoPS's mission to inspire the next generation of problem-solvers.
The ideal candidate has:
- 4+ years building production Salesforce solutions using technologies that will power educational excellence: Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce
- Expertise with Salesforce APIs (REST, Bulk) for seamless data integration across educational platforms
- Experience creating Salesforce integrations that connect learning systems and enhance student experiences
- Mastery of advanced Salesforce configuration and automation tools that streamline educational operations
- Deep understanding of Salesforce platform ecosystem and best practices for scalable, educational technology
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership and mentor others in building mission-critical educational systems
- Strong collaboration skills with ability to juggle multiple projects while adapting to the dynamic needs of a growing educational organization
- Track record as a strategic contributor to product development and successful delivery of large-scale Salesforce projects
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities and creative thinking that translates into innovative educational technology solutions
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification required, Platform Developer II or advanced certifications preferred
