Kode With Klossy (KWK) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization working to close the persistent racial and gender equity gaps in the technology industry. Since launching in 2015, Kode With Klossy has cultivated a technical skills-based community of 12,000 young women and gender expansive youth through its unique approach to coding education. All of Kode With Klossy’s education programs are 100% free of charge. Kode With Klossy’s flagship 13-18 programs are 2-week summer camps and 2-day CODE-A-BRATIONs. Klossy's differentiated impact is the stickiness of its community over time. While the onramp to the community are programs Kode With Klossy has designed for young people 13-18 years old, today over half of community members are 18 and over. By providing ongoing learning experiences and opportunities, Kode With Klossy is the retention engine that supports community members across their education and career milestones in tech.
The Role:
The Senior Technical Curriculum Manager will play a critical role in shaping KWK’s technical learning experiences for our 18+ community. This person brings strong technical fluency, likely grounded in prior education or professional experience in computer science, engineering, or a closely related field. They are comfortable breaking down complex technical concepts, staying current in a rapidly evolving tech landscape, with a significant focus on artificial intelligence & machine learning, and translating industry practices into accessible, high-quality learning experiences. They will bring important perspectives to the Curriculum & Program Design team by providing technical input as curriculum is developed in a changing tech sector. They should be a self-starter who thrives in a hands-on work environment. This role will report to the Director of Curriculum & Program Design. The Senior Technical Curriculum Manager will collaborate closely with internal teammates and external partners to design, build, and iterate on advanced technical programming, with a growing emphasis on artificial intelligence, applied software development skills, and career-relevant tooling.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
ALUMNI LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT
- Design and develop technical curriculum and workshops for 18+ learners, including alumni, with a focus on advanced topics such as applied AI, software engineering practices, and emerging tools in the tech ecosystem
- Collaborate with corporate partners to design technical skill-building opportunities that prepare alumni to take on roles in the tech sector (e.g. workshops on whiteboard interviews to prepare for engineering roles and internships)
- Create and implement AI learning pathways and programs that help alumni build practical skills for emerging tech roles
- Write materials to support alumni while they practice or build technical skills through self-paced learning (e.g. a quick guide or video to show optimal use of GitHub)
- Assess technical work submissions produced by alumni in KWK skill-building programs (e.g. reviewing code submitted to virtual challenges)
- Design mentorship opportunities for STEM professionals to support KWK alumni (e.g. pairing alumni with experienced software engineers for technical interview preparation)
- Lead and facilitate externally facing events with alumni and partners, including workshops, panels, and technical learning sessions
CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT
- Support in developing core programming curriculum resources in our Web Development, Data Science, and AI/ML curricula such as pacing guides, projects, and learning objectives to make sure Kode With Klossy lessons are clear, engaging, and supportive to all scholars, at varying levels of CS experience
- Develop and prototype new technical exercises to improve existing curriculum based on feedback from scholars and industry trends
- Develop new computer science lessons and projects that are aligned with the existing curriculum for scholar engagement
- Ensure KWK curricula align with software engineering and tech industry best practices
GENERAL
- Track ongoing innovations in tech to keep Kode With Klossy curriculum and opportunities up to date
- Gain a deep understanding of Kode With Klossy’s curricular and instructional pillars and leverage them in the work
- Play a key role in the training of instructional leaders in curriculum, providing technical training and mentorship for instructional leaders to ensure high-quality delivery of technical content
- Be a valued member of the Programs Team, providing technical insights and collaborating on and assisting with ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or 5+ years of work experience
- Has a core understanding of coding concepts and/or has taken at least one college-level intro to coding class;
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms
- Passionate about inspiring and empowering and young women and gender expansive students and have a keen interest in STEM
- Desire to join an entrepreneurial, fast-paced organization
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Has worked in a professional engineering environment
Compensation & Benefits
Kode With Klossy values equity, transparency, and clarity in pay. Consistent with Kode With Klossy’s philosophy, there is a set salary for this position of $103,000. Kode With Klossy covers 100% of health insurance for individuals and families and offers a generous PTO and 401K plan.
Internal Structure & Work Environment
- Remote-first work culture: flexible hours
- Team gatherings: On-site meetings every ~8 weeks (typically 2-day, in-person commitments), Weekly standing team meeting at 12pm Eastern, Annual week-long retreat in September for reflection and planning
- Travel expectations: Occasional travel for programs (camps, partner visits)
- Professional development: Stipend available, regular team learning sessions (e.g. DEI workshops, AI in workplace)
- Tools: Airtable, Google Suite, and Fillout, Slack for team communication
