 Position Details 
Advertising/Posting Title  | Service Team Generalist

Posting Summary  | Process records and registration tasks. Provide assistance to students, faculty, and staff, answer policy/procedure questions, and troubleshoot problems via email, telephone and in person. Serve as liaison with internal constituents and external agencies regarding student information/registration, both in person at the Registrar’s Office customer service counter and on the phone. Process enrollment verifications and transcript requests. Provide clerical support services to Student Veteran Services, Residency, and other areas of the Registrar’s Office. Perform high-level maintenance and updating of comprehensive student/course/registration/ records. Answer the main University phone line as needed. Provide training and basic support for online course evaluations. Annually update transfer pathway curriculum outlines for incoming undergraduate students and for UVM undergraduate students seeking program-specific graduate school opportunities. Assist with seasonal tasks related to orientation, commencement, and schedule of courses. Serve as a back-up to the team member that supervises student workers and assist the team that oversees administrative responsibilities for the University’s student success tool. Serve as back-up for ordering office supplies as well as a Registrar’s Office Notary Public.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)  | Associate’s degree and one to three years of related experience required. Demonstrated ability and commitment to providing responsive, empathetic customer service in a fast-paced and student-centered environment. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and comfort learning new systems and technology tools. Must be able to obtain a Vermont Notary Public license within 3 months of hire date.

Desirable Qualifications  | Familiarity with BANNER student information system and experience in higher education is highly desired.

Anticipated Pay Range  | $23/hour to $24.36/hr
