About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, youâll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Compton, CA
Details:
- In-Person Tutoring in Compton, CA
- Schedule: 25 hours, 4 days a week for 1 to 1.5 hours
- Pay range is between $25 and $35
Ideal Candidate:
- Spanish bilingual preferred to support communication and engagement with the student.
- Experience working with students with autism, intellectual disabilities, or other learning differences.
- Skilled in foundational literacy, reading fluency, comprehension, and math concepts.
- Ability to provide hands-on, structured, and interactive instruction.
- Strong communication, organization, and motivational skills.
- Preferred: Experience implementing IEP goals and using behavior intervention strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction in foundational literacy skills, reading fluency, and comprehension.
- Support math learning through hands-on activities and step-by-step guidance in basic concepts.
- Reinforce IEP goals and adapt lessons to meet the studentâs academic and developmental needs.
- Incorporate the studentâs interests to maintain engagement and motivation.
- Monitor progress and communicate updates with caregivers as appropriate.
- Maintain a structured, patient, and supportive learning environment.
