At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Inglewood, CA! About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, youâll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Inglewood, CA
Details:
- In-Person Tutoring in Inglewood, CA
- Schedule: 10 hours, 2x a week for 1 hour 15 mins
- Pay range is between $25 and $35
Ideal Candidate:
- Fluent in both English and Spanish to support communication and learning.
- Experience working with students with Autism and/or other learning differences.
- Skilled in teaching math concepts, reading comprehension, science, and social studies at the upper elementary/middle school level.
- Ability to provide clear, structured, and engaging instruction using hands-on and practical examples.
- Excellent communication, organization, and motivational skills.
- Preferred: Experience with IEP-based instruction and behavior support strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction in math, reading, science, and social studies, reinforcing foundational concepts such as fractions, multiplication, and division.
- Support reading fluency and comprehension across content areas.
- Incorporate the studentâs interests (e.g., Mario Kart) to maintain motivation and engagement.
- Implement structured routines and positive reinforcement to encourage focus and persistence.
- Provide step-by-step guidance, ensuring the student slows down and completes tasks without skipping steps.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and observations to the family in both English and Spanish as needed.
- Create a supportive, patient, and calm learning environment that fosters academic confidence and independence.
