The School of Music is hiring a Spark/Admissions Coordinator who will assist with Spark: Music Leadership at Carolina and the Music Admissions team. Spark duties include managing Spark student events, Spark website, social media creation, and guest artist coordination. Admissions duties include Audition Days, Open House and Admitted Student Days; prospective student tours, information sessions, processing applications and scholarship administration and administration of the Music Community.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience | Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Job Duties
Job Duty | Assist in the development and planning of Spark Events: ProSkills, Discussion Over Dinner, Wellness Wednesdays, Up Close and Personal, Guest Artist Residencies, and Stress Less Finals Weeks. Assist with Mini-Grants, Creativity in Music Awards, and Creativity in Teaching Awards. Work with the Director of Spark to establish additional programs, as needed.

Percentage of Time | 40Job Duty | Assist the Associate Director of Music Admissions in filing and organization of admissions/scholarship materials and correspondence. Maintain FileMaker and Slate databases for prospective students. Answer email and web inquiries regarding admissions and auditions. Assist with regularly scheduled Music Information Session Tours for prospective students. Meet with prospective students/families when the Associate Director is unavailable. Work all Music Audition Days and other related Admissions events.

Percentage of Time | 40Job Duty | Update the Spark website and the Spark social media posts. Work closely with the School of Music Marketing Team on School of Music monitor content. Maintain the equipment in the Lending Library and manage the Gig Office.

Percentage of Time | 5Job Duty | Work closely with the Assistant Dean of Finance on Spark finances, purchasing, and reporting. File Annual ASCAP report, submitting all programs and recitals for the academic year. Assist with Graduate summer mailing and mailbox assignments.
