The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating and scheduling meetings with executive leadership team members, administrators, and other constituents as required.
- Prepares agendas and background materials for each meeting, and ensures Provost has information prior to meetings. Works with the Provost to develop and implement scheduling priorities. Collects additional background information for meetings as requested by the Provost.
- Coordinates all arrangements for the Provost's university-related travel (i.e. air travel, hotel, registrations, ground transportation, etc.).
- Prepares, edits, and distributes professional, high-level correspondence and materials on behalf of the Provost. Responds to communications and inquiries as directed.
- Monitors the Provost's email account and exercises discretion in routing and responding to communications.
- Creates drafts for the Provost's approval and use (i.e. speeches and communications for university-wide distribution or publication).
- Works in collaboration with the Office of the Provost staff members and other university constituents to plan and execute academic events or special projects.
- Assists where needed to ensure that all events hosted by the Office of the Provost are supported and coordinated appropriately and executed professionally.
- Works in collaboration with administrators, faculty, and staff to complete assigned projects as needed.
- Oversees the daily operations of the office. Participates in the administrative staff support integration.
- Recruits and supervises up to three part-time student employees who provide general office support such as preparation and editing of data sets, document preparation, copying, running errands, and manning the front desk to greet and direct visitors.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience in higher education administration preferred, along with experience working in a distributed environment.
- Ability to work with confidential information and to apply maturity and discretion in daily operational role
- Skills in being efficient and organized with great attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to articulate concepts and ideas effectively with minimal supervision.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent time management skills, and ability to work flexible hours when needed
- Ability to prioritize assignments, and work on multiple deadline-driven priorities
- Ability to exhibit good judgement under pressure.
Education
- Highschool or GED required.
Experience
- 5 years of administrative office experience, working with senior executive level.
- Experience with managing calendars, meeting planning, scheduling, all facets of travel arrangements
- Experience with reviewing and responding to correspondence
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Project Management or Operations experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
