Job Description:

Range: $60,000-70,000

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.
  • Manage the NSO fixed assets list and assist with capital projects.
  • Perform the reconciliation of all balance sheets accounts and ensure that all accounting transactions and journal entries are in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s accounting policies/procedures (including SOX).
  • Monitor actual expenses and assist management in developing, recommending, and implementing corrective action to ensure results of the operations are in line with the operating budget.
  • Create the budget and forecast for the NSO balance sheet and assigned departments.  
  • Perform analysis and prepare reports that provide detailed cost information to local and corporate management.
  • Manage the month-end processing and reporting related to assigned departments.
  • Work with Operations team to create and maintain activity base costing system for assigned departments.
  • Document system processes, reports, and system functionality.
  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance/Accounting/Business required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Finance or Accounting required.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and General Accounting activities required.
  • Excellent analytical skills required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment is a plus.
  • Analytical/organizational skills with sound problem resolution, negotiation, judgment, and decision-making skills required.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion/SmartView is a plus.
  • Strong technical skills with experience using Microsoft Excel and database management software required.  
  • Ability to excel in business situations by adapting plans and approaches as required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships across groups and all management levels required.
