Job Description:

Position Overview: As the Sr Director of Performance Marketing, you will lead the Performance Marketing team who is focused on driving customer acquisition and revenue across Book Clubs and Book Fairs (SDC, eWallet, OFE, Share The Fair). The team is responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies, including paid, social, influencer, email/SMS, web, and promos.
This role is pivotal in driving customer acquisition, enhancing paid marketing strategies, driving revenue, and fostering brand growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a proven track record of driving business growth through innovative marketing tactics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
○ Develop and implement comprehensive growth marketing strategies to drive acquisition and retention.
○ Oversee paid marketing internal agency, affiliate strategy, organic social strategy to be executed by internal agency, influencer strategy, and full funnel website strategies to maximize reach and ROI.
○ Align marketing efforts with business goals, leveraging data insights to refine tactics.
○ Establish and maintain a weekly operational rhythm (status reporting, budget actualization, and project visibility) to ensure executive alignment.

- Team Leadership:
○ Lead, mentor, and manage a team of five marketers, fostering a high-performance culture.
○ Provide guidance on campaign execution, budget management, and strategic planning.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
○ Collaborate with the Senior Director of Email Marketing/CRM to optimize email marketing strategies, new customer prospecting, ensuring alignment with broader growth initiatives.
○ Partner with internal stakeholders, including Digital Services (our internal paid agency) and Business Strategy, to ensure cohesive campaign execution.

- Influencer and Affiliate Strategy:
○ Support the development and execution of influencer strategies for Clubs/Fairs to enhance brand relevance.
○ Oversee affiliate partnerships to expand audience reach and engagement.
○ Transition our influencer program into an affiliate influencer model

- Budget Management:
○ Manage and allocate the paid marketing budget ensuring financial efficiency and campaign effectiveness.
○ Provide executive reporting on budget performance and marketing ROI.

- Innovation & Growth:
○ Explore and test new digital channels to stay ahead of market trends.
○ Implement best practices to drive user engagement and business growth.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in growth or digital marketing with a focus on strategy, execution, and performance analysis.
- Proven track record of managing multi-channel marketing campaigns and leading marketing teams.
- Strong financial management skills with the ability to optimize budgets for maximum ROI.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with experience in executive reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

The salary range for this position is $190,000 to $205,000.
