The State Compensatory Education (SCE) Program Coordinator oversees the implementation and effectiveness of programs designed to support at-risk and disadvantaged students in alignment with Texas state guidelines. This role involves providing technical assistance, facilitating professional development, ensuring compliance, and analyzing data to guide continuous improvement in SCE-funded initiatives across campuses or districts.
This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
- Provide ongoing technical assistance and guidance to senior managers on best practices related to SCE programs and resource allocation
- Gather necessary materials and maintain a comprehensive SCE manual or handbook in compliance to SCE handbook requirements under the supervision of the senior managers.
- Attend SCE and Texas Education Agency (TEA) trainings to stay informed of program updates, changes, and new requirements and serve as a resource to the senior managers
- Gather necessary processes and maintain process documentation (Standard Operating Procedures) to support efficient, clear, and consistent workflows for all involved staff.
- Review accommodations provided through Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks to ensure compliance with TEA guidelines, and communicate clear expectations for acceptable practices.
- Serve as a resource to the senior managers regarding SCE compliance
- Work with the senior managers to determine professional development needs regarding SCE compliance.
- Serve as a resource to senior manager to align SCE strategies with broader school improvement plans.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three (3) years of related professional experience
- Strong understanding of State Compensatory Education programs and regulations
- Demonstrated organizational skills and knowledge of systematic filing procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use web-based database programs to enter and monitor education information
- Ability to effectively multi-task
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Ability to clear required background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Teaching certification
- Three (3) years of directly related experience in an online school setting
- Experience working with student records
- Familiarity with TEA guidelines and SCE Compliance monitoring
