Physical Requirements | The physical requirements of this position will include: occasional standing and/orwalking with objects up to 25lbs; and regularly sitting at a computer workstation forextended periods with regular repetitive motions (such as typing).
Shift | Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; however, additional hours may be required from time to time due to workload demands.

The STEPS Compensation Specialist will have responsibilities such as: Collaborate with the Compensation Consultant/Campus and various supervisors in throughout Campus Support the job classification process, including position updates with post, updates with no post, and new position description requests through the Integrated Employment System Utilize SAP for information review and data entry in relation to job classifications
This position may also may include:Communicating effectively both verbally and in writing Building and maintaining positive working relationships Abiding by University guidelines Maintaining confidentiality Prioritizing and managing work effectively while maintaining a high degree of accuracy Providing exceptional customer service Reporting to meetings at different locations both on campus on off campus Effectively interacting with individuals from various levels throughout the university
Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: facilitating compensation activities in other sectors, building and running reports from the system of record, reporting data for market surveys and running custom reports, etc.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | We are seeking an individual with initiative, superior customer service focus, team oriented, excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships, and expertise in the full Microsoft Office Suite.
A successful candidate will also have HR professional knowledge, the ability to multi-task with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
Solid time management, problem solving, critical thinking, follow-through, and planning and organizational skills are all critical to the success in this position and a high level of respect for confidentiality and diversity are a must.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? | No
Preferred Education/Experience | Bachelors + 1 year of related experience such as staff support/administrative assistant.
Experience in high education setting preferred.
