Job Summary
The Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition is seeking a creative and organized STEPS Social Media Coordinator to support the department’s outreach and engagement efforts. This temporary, part-time position will be responsible for developing and managing content across various social media platforms to promote departmental programs, events, student and faculty achievements, and community initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone with a passion for digital communication, storytelling, and health-related topics. The coordinator will work closely with faculty, staff, and students to ensure consistent and engaging messaging that aligns with the University of Kentucky’s brand standards.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a weekly social media content calendar.
  • Create and schedule engaging posts, graphics, and stories for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, , and LinkedIn.
  • Collaborate with department members to gather content and highlight news, events, and accomplishments.
  • Monitor analytics and engagement metrics to inform content strategy.
  • Attend occasional departmental events to capture live content (as needed).
  • Ensure all content complies with UK branding and communication guidelines.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
  • Strong written communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools.
  • Experience with graphic design tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
