About the Institutional Portfolio Management (IPM) Department
The IPM department is part of the CFO org and is responsible for driving strategic execution and transformation across the WGU System. We manage portfolios of enterprise initiatives that align with WGU's 5-Year Strategic Plan—connecting strategy to action. Our work enables leaders to execute bold, system-wide change by:
  • Designing innovative business processes that improve productivity and scale.
  • Building enterprise capabilities in Agile Innovation, Portfolio Management, and Rapid Technology Development.
  • Identifying and mitigating enterprise risks while driving cost efficiency and waste reduction.

The Role: Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) System Analyst
The Strategic Portfolio Management System Analyst supports the systems, data, and processes that enable WGU's enterprise portfolio management function. This role ensures that portfolio data is accurate, reliable, and actionable, and that the tools and workflows used across the university effectively support strategic decision‑making.

You will partner closely with portfolio managers, business leaders, analysts, and technology teams to enhance WGU's enterprise portfolio management platform, maintain high‑quality information, develop reporting and insights, and continuously improve the user experience.
 
What You'll Do
  • Maintain, configure, and optimize the Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) system to support enterprise portfolio processes, reporting, and governance
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across portfolios, programs, initiatives, and dashboards; identify gaps and implement corrective actions
  • Partner with IPM leaders and cross‑functional teams to develop enhancements, streamline workflows, and improve system usability
  • Build and maintain reporting, metrics, and portfolio insights that support institutional decision‑making
  • Support training, documentation, change management, and adoption efforts for SPM tools and processes
 
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Information Systems or a related field
  • 4 years of experience in operational analysis for strategic portfolio management, enterprise planning, PMO, or finance
  • Hands on experience with enterprise portfolio management systems, such as ServiceNow (user, system implementation)

Bonus Points If You Have

Position & Application Details
