Student Research Assistant- Office of Research Full Description

This position supports faculty research on an as-needed basis during the academic year and/or summer. Duties are routine and may involve limited decision-making in the absence of supervision. Some prior training, experience, or knowledge—particularly of laboratory procedures for lab-based roles—may be required. Strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently after training are essential. A flexible schedule, including availability on nights and weekends, is expected.

To be eligible for student employment an applicant must:
A. Be enrolled in the UA system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment
B. Have a 2.0 GPA

High School Diploma

Position Details:
The starting rate of pay for a Student Assistant 2 employee is $11.34. However, placement on the salary scale may be determined by experience, job responsibilities, and departmental need.  Student Salary Table
